About the Space
The office is comprised of Global Exchange, a non-profit human rights organization, two other non profits, various folks working in film and the arts, and two startups.
A typical day in the office is varied - but generally we're productive, focused and stay on point. There are meetings in offices and some in the common spaces. Each team keeps their own hours so you'll can find people working from the morning into the late evening. Everyone has 24/7 access to the office.
We're all hard working and dedicated to our work, and respect each others' needs in the office, and willing to chip in to keep the space functioning well.
The 16th & Mission corner is super convenient for BART and MUNI, close to lots of places to eat, parks, etc. We're part of the Plaza 16 Coalition (http://plaza16.org/), because we believe in equitable development that creates healthy, vibrant, communities of opportunity. We believe this requires thoughtful, intentional, and community-based strategies to ensure that low-income communities and communities of color participate in and benefit from the decisions that shape our neighborhoods and our city’s transit-oriented development.
An ideal office mate would be groups/teams with progressive values, and understanding of non profit work, and/or an appreciations for the creative arts. Bikes welcome.
